Preparing the materials for the video can be half the fun of bringing the project to life.  We’ve prepared the following outline and accompanying work sheet to simplify your preparation of this family heirloom.

Step 1:  Layout

Your source materials can be photographs or slides. The best images on video are those that show clear detail in “real life.”  For example, a larger photo (3”x 5” minimum) showing three individuals will look better on video than, say, a class photo showing 33 individuals.

Step 2:  Numbering

Each photo should be numbered in the order you wish them to appear in the video.
We suggest you use a light pencil to mark your photos ( pen markings can dent the photo or “bleed” through the photo, staining them permanently.)

“Post-It” notes are not acceptable for numbering your photos, as they can fall off and disrupt the order layout.

Step 3:  Choice of music

We can provide music for your video, but we encourage you to provide your own musical selections (on CD) to personalize the production.
